Alex and Sam-October 15th 2016- Rock Quarry Farm

cheryl kast

It does not  take much to see that Alex and Sam are in love! These cool love birds met at BBQ in their first year at Occidental College. They were friends for three years before they realized they were in love and started dating in their junior year!  When Alex and Sam came to us with a vision of a beautiful, outdoor wedding with an organic vibe with fun, fall colors, our hearts sang! We could not have been more excited to help Alex and Sam execute their day!

They could not have asked for more perfect fall weather for their wedding. Every little detail of their day truly represented their style and relationship perfectly.  From pulling together traditions from Sam's Jewish heritage to incorporating the couple's quaker school background in their ceremony. Their love for food and all things yummy were seen in the delicious family style supper created by Snap Pea Catering and the scrumptious donut table in lieu of a traditional wedding cake.  A perfect dinner was topped off with a fun dance party!

A truly beautiful day for the sweetest couple filled with so much love, family and pretty! Thank you Alex and Sam for allowing us the be apart of your special day! We wish you only the best!

Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who helped make Alex & Sam's day magical!

Lauren and Bryan- October 1st- The Parlour at Mann's Chapel

cheryl kast

We are so excited to finally be sharing Lauren and Bryan's beautiful fall wedding at our favorite little white chapel! The Parlour at Mann's Chapel served as the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Bryan's relaxed, family affair! We could not have asked for better weather for their big day! Everything about this day makes our hearts sing! From the beautiful color palette of dusty blues, marsala and peach to the bluegrass trio to twinkling lights and the delicious food!

Lauren and Bryan had their hearts set on an intimate, outdoor ceremony in the courtyard followed by a party and dinner under stars. The Chapel was elegantly decorated with lush green garlands, beautiful garden arrangements, soft blue linens and a combination of wood and copper chairs. Guests were treated to a heavy hors d'oeuvres style meal by Durham Catering and a delicious cake by a family friend! Guests continued enjoying the outdoors well into the evening and danced the night away courtesy of DJ Mark McNally of Joe Bunn DJ Company.

Thank you Lauren and Bryan for allowing us to be apart of your special day! We absolutely loved working with and wish you only the best! xoxo

Elizabeth and Andrew- September 24th- North Carolina Museum of Art

cheryl kast

After meeting as lab technicians Elizabeth and Andrew's innocent flirtations quickly turned into something stronger and more serious, they both very soon realized that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together!

Their big day at the North Carolina Museum of Art was a beautiful mix of modern and classic! Elizabeth's elegant, sophisticated style could be seen in her beautiful strapless gown, timeless grey and ivory letterpress invitations and her love for soft peach and blush blooms. We added a modern touch by using sleek, slender bud vases in the Iris dining room and softened the space with barely blush linens-just gorgeous! Their traditional Jewish ceremony in the courtyard was followed by a cocktail style reception and dancing indoors. The Band Punch kept the dance floor full and a amazing evening was had by all!

We loved everything about this sweet couple's sophisticated big day and had the best time designing this beautiful day! Thank you so much Elizabeth and Andrew, it was truly a pleasure and wish you only the best!

Shanna and Luciano- September 18th 2016- The Parlour at Mann's Chapel

cheryl kast

I absolutely love, love, love brunch weddings! Especially sweet, intimate brunch weddings at Vintage Chapels with food trucks! I adored everything about Shanna's boho, casual, beautiful style, which included wild field flowers, lots of beautiful greenery, delicious food and family- a few of my favorite things!

Shanna and Luciano said their I do's on a foggy fall morning at the beautiful Parlour Chapel surrounded by 30 of their closest friends and family members. Guests were greeted with delicious coffee from Cafe Bellezza coffee truck, acoustic guitar strings playing and even a flower crown making station for the ladies. The couple chose to walk each other down the aisles and honestly their ceremony bought me to tears. Their nuptials were followed by a delicious, fun brunch with yummies from the Belgian Waffle Crafters and The Wandering Moose.  We sent this sweet couple off with a beautiful lavender toss! Shanna and Luciano thank you for allowing us to be apart of your beautiful day! We wish you only the best!

Southeastern Bride Magazine Shoot

cheryl kast

I'm so thrilled to be sharing this very special editorial shoot for Southeastern Bride with you! This past summer my dear friend AJ Dunlap asked me to design a fall shoot for the magazine's very first issue. I was beyond excited and honored and oh so ready to play with beautiful fall textures and colors!

I went with a woodsy, outdoor vibe and focused on simplicity with a moody feel. The color palette was so rich and gorgeous- deep marsala, blues, grays and pops of peach and gold really added the fall feel we were looking for.

I could not have asked for a more amazing group of vendors to help bring this beautiful design to life What an absolute honor and pleasure work alongside them all!
